Amazing grace, how sweet the sound That saved a wretch like me I once was lost, but now I'm lost. This is the Grace and Truth program, and now we continue these messages of the Holy Spirit of God to you through his bondservant, David Brinkman, and the song evangelist, Stan Kerry. And now finally, I want to have a heart-to-heart talk with you. As a man of God, I beg you to get right with me. God. God loved you, and in His marvelous grace He gave His beloved Son Jesus Christ to be your Savior and deliverer from your sins and their awful doom. But you have gone right on in your sins and have ignored the Lord Jesus Christ. God's love has turned to His wrath and vengeance on you, as the Bible says. He that believeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. God is furious to see how you have rejected your Savior who died for you, and you go right on in your sins. It's just like a slap in God's face, as if you said, God, let me alone. I want to live the way I please. As I see God's eye flashed with indignation, like a flame of fire, in vengeance on you, I cry, neighbor, stop everything, and get right with God. If you ask, how can Get alone with God, in the barn or in the woods, it matters not where, and tell God in words like these, O God, I want to get right with thee. I confess I have made thee angry with me for all my wicked sins, and if thou shouldest now shut thine ears to my cry of distress and smite me dead to find myself in hell, I deserve its tormenting flames. I need thy beloved Son Jesus, providing mercy and salvation for me, I, like a crazy fool, passed him by, not studying about my Savior and deliverer, Lord Jesus, if now thou art to pass me by, in my plight, and go and save others, I deserve that too. But somehow a ray of light, a beam of hope, penetrates my benighted soul, and so I come to thee, O God, have mercy on me, the sinner. Lord Jesus Christ, I call on thee to save me and change me to live a new life for thee as my Lord and Savior. And now alone with thee, my God, and my Lord and Savior, if thou wilt be untreated of me, please assure me by thy Holy Spirit that thou hast heard me, and in mercy save me, forgiving my sins, and making me thy child. Then, in silence, wait for God's answer. But if there is no answer, do not despair. God is testing you. That's why the Bible tells us agonize to enter into the straight gate. Be in earnest. Yes, in agonizing distress as a man sinking in the big ocean. Cry with all your heart to God for his mercy. To help you in your distress, I throw you this lifeline of God's promise. He has said, Seek for me with all your heart, saith the Lord. Then, when God's answer comes, you will have had a real personal experience with the living God, and you will now know him as my God and my Father. And Jesus Christ will henceforth be to you, my Lord and my Savior. This will be the greatest experience of your life. It will also be the most transforming event, for it will not only turn your glory, gloom and dread into real heavenly peace and joy, but it will change your entire life from your heart within to your habits and works without. Yes, and your words too. But if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. All things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new. Neighbor, I'm 81 years old. I was saved 66 years ago. You are standing Today you must choose. Your decision is so eternally important. It's life or death, heaven or hell, Christ or the world, God or your sins. As I look back on that night of decision in my life, these 66 years have proven to me that I made the right choice. And if you make the choice I made as I received the Lord Jesus Christ to be my Lord and my Savior, and I gave myself to him to save and change me, to live for His glory. If you make that choice today, every year of your life will but prove you made the right choice. And when you face death and eternity, and then embark to our heavenly home, you and I will both join in singing, Oh, happy day that fixed my choice, I leave my Savior and my God, as we are with Christ and gaze upon His glory.
