for this Sunday because we're speaking on the faith healing or the crime healing. But yesterday morning I was interviewing the evening like teaching the day. I don't know what happened. I didn't have to see it last yesterday afternoon. You see anything? I just pulled that down. There was a kickback and a clue. I don't know. But I went up earlier this morning and called into the altar and told me, oh my, I didn't expect it. I'll do it today. I wish I knew them what I know now, but I feel good. Nevertheless, we're thankful we can take up this subject this morning. Acts chapter five and verse fourteen. And believers were the more added to the Lord. Multitudes both of men and women. in so much that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the city, round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits, and they were healed, And every one. Well, that will be speaking tonight, because I contacted him yesterday, and he said he'd be available for the night, because I didn't think I'd be here today. But nevertheless, the Lord knows best. Now, I'm going to speak on this subject, and it's a very interesting subject, because there's so much today, as we pointed out earlier in our studies on the acts of things that seem to be and also a great display in the show of what they think is faith or their confidence in God, their knowledge of God, and the speaking of tongues. But here you have also the healing of bodies. It's very interesting how far they are away from the Scriptures teaching on this subject. For instance, there is that verse over in Matthew's Gospel that Christ came to bear our sicknesses and also our infirmities, and they said he bore them on the cross. He didn't do any such thing. And if you read that verse in Matthew chapter eight, it says this, Many brought unto him many that were possessed with devils, and he cast out the spirits with his word and healed all. Notice that. All it was said, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken by Isaiah as the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities and there our sicknesses, saying that that sickness was fulfilled in his life. He was then and then healing the sick and casting out demons, And it says that scripture in Isaiah fifty three was the... And our infirmities. Now sicknesses and infirmities are not sinned. Because it tells us he is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. Here is Christ at God's right hand. And he's touched with the very feeling of the infirmities of his people. Now, he's not touched with our sins. Sins and infirmities, or rather sufferings, and infirmities have to do with the result of sin. And many a charm of God is suffering, sickness, and physical infirmities. And you can't say they're sinning. Not for a moment. And here you have Christ, and during the days of this flesh, he did bear or sympathize with people in sickness and with infirmities. But he bore our sins in his own body on the tree. He did not bear our sicknesses, nor our infirmities. There are those who say that sickness and infirmity are in the atonement. that Christ by his death not only saved our souls, but he also saved our bodies or delivered our bodies from sickness and infirm. That is not the case. If redemption or the healing of the body were in the atonement, then is the redemption of our body. We know eventually when Christ comes, It'll be because of this death we'll get our new bodies, a body like unto his own. But divine healing relative to the body was not in the atonement. If that were the case when we got saved, our souls were saved, we would have received new bodies then, sinless bodies that could not sin. And thus we would have bodies that could not die. because a sinless body cannot die for the wages of sin is death. And only Christ had a sinless body, and he never would have died had he not been put to death, submitted himself to death for our sins. So remember this, that healing of the body is not in the atonement, and we're going to prove that as we proceed this morning. We do not deny the fact that God has, and He likely will heal some men and women. Why He doesn't heal more, we do not know. But we know that some cases are puzzling, and it's evident that God has healed. For faith healers, they grasp that opportunity because God has healed in the past, and now and again there's a rare case. they have grabbed that to make a lucrative living. If God would heal a lot of people who want to be healed in their body, he would be contributing to their sinful ways. For what they want help for is to have a good time. They want good help that they might enjoy the world and even sin in the world. God's not going to contribute to a man or a woman sinning. If he heals a body, he has a divine purpose in healing that body. I visited many people and talked to them on what they thought were their deathbeds. Some of them, they said, well, I'm going to do better. I'm going to do better. And they made all kinds of promises, especially when the doctors said they were beginning to recover. When I get well, I'm going to do better. I'm going to come to church every Sunday. They didn't do it. and they're unsaved this day. The same thing would be true if God touched their bodies, they would have a good time, and God's not in such business. If He touches a body and heals it, it's for a purpose. And so we have people today more interested in the body than in their soul. Our doctor's offices are full. You have to wait for the hour in order to see the doctor. And people will wait for the hour and listen to the doctor. They'll get an examination, and they'll do what the doctor tells them to do. They'll buy the medicine, and they'll cut out eating this. They'll cut out that. They'll necessarily go to bed. Why do you get good health? But you don't see many Christians. waiting by the hour to get into the church to hear the gospel of their soul, like you say. There's a hundred and sixty-eight hours in the week, and they'll spend a hundred and sixty-eight hours working, feeding the body, sleeping, and having a good time, and dressing the body, making it look well, and not one hour is given to God to consider the soul. the whole time, a hundred and sixty hours in the week, devoted to interest in the body, and no interest in the soul whatsoever. They don't matter how much they pay the doctor to give them better health and heal the body, but they wouldn't give a dime to go and hear the gospel and get saved. That's so contrary to the teaching of the Bible. For instance, God or Lord Jesus Christ said in connection with a man in Luke chapter twelve, he pulled down his barns, he built grater, and he's now going to save himself so, though it's much good laid up for many years, he drank them the mirrored. Christ says thou fool. This night shall be required, this night thy soul shall be required of thee. Then who shall those things? Christ is here establishing the fact that God's interested in the soul. What shall it offer the man to gain the whole world and lose his soul? And another solemn passage, he said, If thine eye open me, pluck it out. Better to enter into the world having one eye than having two to be cast into hell. If thy hand open me, cut it off. Federer went into life, having only one hand that had two to be cast into hell fire, where the worm doth not under fire that is not there. If thy foot offend me, cut it off.Federer went into life, having one foot, but having two to be cast into hell fire, where there is weeping and dailing and gnashing. In other words, if for the sake of seeing, for the sake of doing, the hand for the sake of going someplace. If that's going to keep you from getting your soul saved, our better be made than to have a healthy body and go to hell. A lot of people today, oh, they want good hell. All of us like good hell. We like to have a sound body. But remember this, that man, I'm going to put his body on the present of that body. before his soul he hath proved. Far better pain be blind, far better be armless and legless throughout this life, and go to heaven at last, than to have a healthy body in this world, and eventually go to heaven. That's what Christ is teaching in these passages. God's interested in your soul. He didn't send his son to this world to save your body. He sent his son to save your soul, for he'll give you a new body on the resurrection morning if you get saved. And so this divine healing business is the way off the track as far as I am concerned. Faith healing is quite different from divine healing. Faith healing has to do with the faith of the individual. or the healer. And of course the healer, if the patient doesn't get healed, he claims the patient for not having enough faith. I get to see the healer who said he didn't have enough faith. And if he tries to heal someone who's sick and the person doesn't get healed, he didn't have enough faith. Faith healing. There had been miracles performed through the healing of the individual when God didn't have a thing to do. For instance, in this world there have been many cases of people who have gone and have witnessed the healing through a relic or holy water or a statue or an idol. That's on record. People have gone to these places that have some great experience. And yet God in no way was associated with that idol or that relic. It's a case of mental attitude. And all kinds of our local doctors would tell you that they've got patients who come to them and they tell them they've got this, they've got that, they've got the other thing, and without examining them and saying, you don't have anyone. All the tests come up negative. Well, they're not satisfied with that doctor. They'll go to another one. and have the same spirit from some dark said, it's all in your head. It's all in your mind. It's imaginary. These are good cases for faith healers. Because the faith healer can convince them somehow, they're healed, and they fall for mental assassination, mind over matter. That's Christian society. And so we find the difference between faith healing and divine healing. Faith healing has to do with the faith of the individual, independent of God. The divine healing is God exercising his power independent of man's faith. God has healed many a person who didn't call upon. Why we do not know. I read of cases, I read one only a week or two ago. who are a man had one of those spikes at the end on one of those rods they used to see. And he fell on it and it was down on the hill. And he took a somersault and came down and fell on it. And that four and a half inch spike went straight into his heart. And he bent the thing, the law. And yet he's alive today. And there was nothing in that article to indicate that that man knew Jesus Christ as a saint. a murderer. And so that our cases like this can happen and we don't know why they happen. But I know one thing, they're way off the track from what the Bible teaches about divine evil. And God is only known through Christ Jesus. And a person who tells me he goes and worships an idol and gets healing of that idol, some things of God during their life. They had faith in that idol. Well, if they had faith in that idol and got good health or got healed from some sickness, God had nothing to do with that. Well, God condemns idolatry. Well, these things are very plainly taught in our Bible as to what healing is. Why is there so much healing in the New Testament? There is a lot. Christ performed a lot of miracles. He healed a lot of people. He even raised the dead, and the disciples did the same thing. Well, how are you going to explain that? Quite easy. In the beginning, they did not have the New Testament. And God, Christ wanted to convince the people that he was the Messiah. And during his life, these were his credentials. to show the people that he was the Messiah. In the early part of the Acts, they also healed people, the disciples, the apostles. Why did they do? They didn't have the New Testament, then the New Testament wasn't written. They wanted to convince the people, and God wanted to convince the people by permitting these men and women to heal others to show there was a living man in heaven that was responsible for these people being healed. But when the Bible was given, when the New Testament was given, and they could look at the Bible and read the Bible, the story of salvation, healing eased up. And if you read church history, you're in the Middle Ages, you read nothing of it. But you know, in these latter days it's coming back. The beginning of the church age, there was lots of healing by the person of Jesus Christ. in the latter days there's going to be a lot of healing by the Antichrist and his followers. The church age began with miraculous healing. The dead being raised. The church age is going to close with miraculous healing, but not to the people of God, to the Antichrist. It's going to call far down from heaven and cause that beast or that image of the beast to get it or to speak. So we can expect these things. Many shall come in the last day say, Oh, I am Christ. Under our faith healers today who say they are Christ. They are so mentally derailed. And strangely, it may seem people have all for this kind of faith healing in the Gospels and in the beginning of the Acts with the credentials, first of Jesus Christ, the dead of his disciples, the show. He was a living man in heaven, working through them and giving them the power to heal. We don't need that power today. We don't need to see people raised from the dead. We don't need to see people healed today to believe there's a living man in heaven. It's all in the Bible. And the greatest miracle you can see today is to see a man who is a wicked and godly sinner, a drunk, he's guilty of everything in the book. He's neglected his family, and the grace of God to lay hold upon, and turn that man around and make a new creature out of them. To me, that's a miracle. A miracle of grace. God is performing these kinds of miracles today. Body healing is emphasized instead of the salvation of soul that seems that God eased up on the healing of bodies back in the Apostles' Day, especially after the word of God was healed. Bodily healing is a byproduct of salvation of the soul. God's name objective is the salvation of the soul. Why, if we were to announce that we're going to have healing here at the chapel, on all the sick, come, I will heal you. God save. You see, many folks, he and you come, and we are healing. We wouldn't have a vacant seat in this place, isn't it? But when you're going to preach the gospel, tell people how their souls might be healed, they're not interested. They're just not interested. Oh, yes, if my body can be healed, then I'm interested. I want to live, I want to have a good time. But I'm not interested in the soul yet. You're interested in the shell of the nut. You're not interested in the heart, the kernel of the nut, your soul. You're admiring and care for and polishing the toolbox, but you're neglecting the jewel that's on the inside. That is your precious, never dying soul. There are fifteen reasons why I cannot accept faith healing as it is practiced today. One is that the cases do not stand up. I've talked to many people who went up and professed to get healed, but they're back sick again. Christ's cases stood up. If they didn't, if the disciples' cases of healing and the apostles' cases in healing people didn't stand up, why the people would have pointed to it and mocked them. Well, here, you claim to be the ambassadors of the Lord Jesus. You claim to be the healing people with the power of God, why you heal them today, three or four days after, they're back to an old condition. And the enemy would have taken advantage of that to bring it to the healing of the apostles. But their cases stood up. the whole of thy place. So many of these cases today do not stand up. A lot of these big boys have never been known hardly to go back to the same place the second time. Because if they did go back the second time to their great big tent and equipment, a lot of the people they heal are dead. Those that are not dead are sick and more sick than they were when they're supposed to have healed the first time. But I've noticed this very definitely. I know one religious organization who followed one of these men, and every time he put his ad in, great big ad, almost covering the page, talking about his meeting, they will put an ad right alongside him, ten thousand dollars. would be given to this man if he can produce one person with a doctor's certificate that would definitely heal the disease. Now, that was never taken up or accepted. The challenge was. Why didn't he take it up? Well, he wasn't sure of himself. And he knows that he wasn't really healing some of these bodies. And the emphasis is upon money. Many of them will make millions of dollars to supposedly heal him. Now when Christ healed us, cleverly, he didn't say, now that'll cost you so much. When he healed Lazarus, he didn't charge Martha and Mary a fee. When he healed the widow's son, he didn't say, that'll cost you so much. When he raised Jarius from the dead, and clearly heal the leper. There was no charge, no mention of that. And if these men love people and human beings and have to borrow from God to heal them, take the money out of the business and die overnight. Let them get a job like the Apostle Paul and heal in the evenings if they've got the power to heal. I'll tell you all, but he could do with a dozen or two good healers. Because of every other city with a lot of sickness in this city. And they don't have to put up a city check to do it either. They don't have to go around the world, around the country, putting up their check. There's all kinds of sick people right here. And they wouldn't need to worry about money either if they can heal the sick. There's the hard fund. Cants of funds and all kinds of funds in existence. Blind, help the blind. Yes, and there are societies. These early societies I've mentioned, they'll give them lots of money. Just spend their time all day long just going to the hospital and going to the hospital to challenge its faith healing. And divine healing so far called, it's the hospital. Well, if a man can heal sick, why in the world is he traveling around the country when right here at home he's got all he can do, and he'll get well paid for it. These various agencies and funds would give him a multitude of salary just to heal sick people. No, sir, they're not taken that out. And so it's way off center when it comes to comparing it with the word of God. If they love souls more than money, if they love to heal people more than money, they could be occupied all the time, even if they had a job to earn their living, that they'd be glad to go to these hospitals and go to these homes. Another thing, they put up a tent and people have to go there. The Lord Jesus who went to the people, he wanted to heal, He says, I will come and heal. I will come and heal. He went to where the sick were and healed. Another thing is because their cases are screened. You want to get in to some of these big healing meetings? To be put on TV? Well, you'll have to go up during the daytime. and be screamed and you have an interval with the healer or one of his staff and that night they're the ones that grew up on the blackboard supposed to be healed the Lord Jesus Christ didn't do that it says in that text I quote you from Matthew he healed all that came unto him and if you notice that verse we read in Acts five verse sixteen There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folk, and them which were vexed with unclean spirit, and they the apostles were the people, were healed. Everyone, everyone that came were healed. There wasn't one except. And in these big healing meetings, there were just a few that supposedly get healed. thing I can't understand is this, the connection with his healing. Why it is they select certain people. Now here's a person with a broken arm. Can God not heal a broken arm or a broken leg? I get to see the first case on TV or otherwise where a person with a broken arm or a broken leg with heel or a big ugly sore on his face or somewhere else in his body and it disappears. You've got ninety-five percent, you've got to take the patient's word for it. That he had something wrong with him on the inside. Like one preacher said, talking about a case of healing an old sister coughed up a lawyer. I want to see something. Why they in the days of the Apostles and the Lord Jesus Christ, they saw these people desperately healed. Go further than that, actually raised from the dead. My sister who died, and the Christmas just passed, believed in healing, especially, well, in fact, up to the day of her death almost. And I think three or four times during the last year, She was supposed to be healed, but they buried her on Christmas morning. And many times when she was up the front praying for people to be healed, her crippled son, Buddy, was lying on the back too asleep. Many a time when my parents, as well as myself, draw her attention to that, and if ever the woman had sickness in her home, it was my sister. And yet she spent hours at the front. feeding with God to heal people. What about our own family? A preacher I came south of, one of the most godly men I ever knew, Fred Newton. Fred would hold the view of the Lord. In fact, I wasn't in all day long before I went out to take a funeral. And he had cancer, and he had a heart condition. And about a week before his death, The Lord healed him of cancer. So he thought, so his wife thought. At all they were telling everybody, they were following him. The Lord has healed prayer. A week later he died with a heart attack. And this is what she said. Wasn't it wonderful for the Lord to heal prayer the week before he died? How different is it? The Lord healed them just before he died. But these are the things that go on a lot of people swallow these days. Christ healed all that came on them. Visible infirmities as well as invisible. As I've already mentioned, you'll notice how Christ went to them. They didn't have to come to him. Because if there are anything... that a person would do in the way of healing bodies why there are plenty of people they go there are millionaires down in florida got sick bodies they've got all kinds of money i'm sure if a man could heal him he'd have you there with them all the time and give them a good living and a good salary get the travel with them if you can well no you don't hear anything like that about these faith healers another thing Sickness is often God's method of reaching lost sinners. All you can do is read the thirty-six chapter, thirty-third chapter of Job. And there you have a man who's brought down to the border of the grave his bones to God. He's amnesiated. He's lost his appetite. He's brought to the border of the grave. God says, when I put my hand on a man's body to reach his soul, and he comes to an end of himself, and he says, I have sinned, I've converted that which is right, then I will say, deliver him from going down to the fifth I found of them. I know many a person who's got saved because of sin. God put his hand on the body to try and Another thing, if faith healing is what God wants done today, he would deprive God of one of the best schools he has of training his own children. All you've got to do is read Hebrews chapter twelve of that. Here you find God chastising some of his people. that that sickness might produce the peaceable fruits of righteousness. Them who are sick and who are accepting that sickness as from the Lord. For instance, when you start to think of some of the hymns that we sing, a lot of prose has been written. These wonderful hymns have come from the pen of people who are suffering. Christians who have had terrible health, even Charlotte Elliott who wrote that hymn, we may sing a little bit later on, just as I am without one plea. She had terrible health all alike. One day, a younger woman, she wrote that beautiful hymn, just as I am without one plea. And many years after, no one knew who the author was. Many years after, that one little hymn, then a poem, touched the heart of so many people that it was printed and given out and circulated all over England. One day, Charlotte Elliott went to the hospital, and the doctor said, Here's a little poem that meant so much to me. He put this little tract, as he thought, a little form in the hands of Charlotte Elliot, and for the first time the world knew who of it, she said, I'm the author of it. What modest is it? It has been a blessing to people all over the kingdom. And today people are saved. Millions of people will be in heaven to that one hymn. It never would have been penned. if Charlotte Elliott hadn't been a sickly soul. One could go on mentioning other hymns that were written by men and women who were sickly. And some of the best literature and the best books we have the day to read came from men and women who were suffering in the body. Our faith dealers would have brought the church of all this wonderful literature they're to heal those things. And imagine they'd say, well, they didn't have faith to be healed. You mean to say a lady who would write a hymn like just as I am didn't have enough faith? And these others who've written these wonderful books from an iron chair or a sick chair, they didn't have enough faith to be healed? This is God's school. for many of his children. But dear faith heathers don't believe that. They believe that a person either is guilty of some sin and that's why they're sick or they've got too much unbelief to be healed. Let's think of some of the things we read about in the Bible. Look at Paul's born in the flesh. Why? didn't eat at it, though it has a purpose. God says, Paul, you've got a thorn in the flesh, and don't you ask me to extract it. It's a messenger of Satan's apostasy because I use you so much to reliably be proud, and I want that thorn in the flesh to keep you humble. God has a purpose. I wonder who realized that anytime we're sick there's a purpose there's a reason for it and there is a reason and it's a wonderful thing when we discover what that reason is and the cause for any bodily sickness bodily sickness is the result of the sin that's through its nature taking its form nature taking its form For instance, go to your old folk home, nursing home. How sad to see these old people living away. You see them there, they're blind, they're informed, and they have to wait on hand and foot. They're not happy themselves. They're miserable. They make the hearts of their loved ones heavy to see them. Year after year dragged by, why don't they die? Why doesn't God take them out of their misery or not permit all the suffering and all the expense? Nature is taking its form. Nature is taking its form. And that's why they live. And if sickness comes to you, if the flu fog comes to you, you're going to get the flu to urinary. Like anybody else. And if Christians didn't get sick, my goodness, all the sinners in the world, I want to become a Christian. You don't get sick. Christian gets sick just like anybody else. They have the privilege of glorifying God in that sick. You start to think of nature taking its course. The laws of nature are the laws of God. And there's a certain principle running throughout your Bible, and it's being seen in the universe today among God's people as well as the unconverted. And that's this. The outward man perishes. The inward man is removed day by day. The outward man, the body, is perishing. Why is that? Because sin is in your body. And the baby of sin is death. The law of sin operates in your body. The moment a little baby is poured in the world, it begins to die. It begins to die. There is that principle in our body. Paul said it is sin that worketh in us to bring forth its own death. You know, some of these people that say, I got healed, but you watch them, and I want to go to church and pull up a false tree, but I'll take off the reed. I thought they got healed. I thought they got healed. They weren't laughing. I thought they got healed. It was God healed a person. He healed them completely. He doesn't do a half job. I thought that he was supposed to got healed. I said, well, you take medicine? Oh, sure, I'm on diet. Take medicine. You have the Lord healed. I had to understand, didn't he? Prophemus Paul says, and here's the Apostle Paul, the great Apostle. He says, Prophemus have I left, and the leavened sick. One of his fellow travelers in the Lord's work. Prophemus have I left, and the leavened sick. He says, of Prophemus, it was nigh of the death for the work of God. Why didn't Paul use? Timothy, Timothy, take a little wine for your stomach's sake and you're often drinking. Timothy was a young man, quiet, yet sickly young man, to become Paul's successor, and yet Paul didn't yield. John says, Gaius, in writing to Gaius in his second epistle, he says, I wish that your body prospered like your soul done. In other words, Gaius was a sickly man. John says, I wish your body was as healthy as your soul. I've seen a lot of suffering. Christians know farther spiritual life is concerned they were just bubbling over. The outward man perishes. The inward man is renewed day by day. It keeps young. So we find it very clear in the Bible that the principle operating. And these great evils will try and reverse that principle, the principle of God. For the laws of nature are the laws of God. You know God uses me. God uses me. Did he not do any connection with Hezekiah? He said, take a bunch of figs and put them upon the boil, and he shall return them. Anyone know whose figs is a good holy? Well, God could have healed the king like that, but he didn't have used meat. And he says, Concern Timothy, oh, take a little wine for thy stone's sake. And thy off, take a little bit of it. Now, that's not liquor there. That's in the mood of general, just like animal. Now, if you don't know the difference between a cat and a lion, you better try it out somehow. That's in the mood of general. And same as wine. That one word wine can speak of great music and speak of that will mount the head off you. You don't know the difference. Don't try and experiment. Yes, the Apostle Paul told Timothy that takes up it, but it's often impermanent. And you can go on to think of the many things that God used. Let us take the Apostle Paul. And here he's only over sixty, and he says, Such and one as Paul the aged, and I'm humbled from much other than we're past sixty. Such and one as Paul, he says, Only Luke is with me, for the love for them. Why did the Apostle Paul take a position with him on his missionary side? Because he was a sick sinner. And yet the Apostle Paul healed Eutychus. in the twentieth chapter of Acts when he's cut out of the wilderness. He was taken up dead, and the apostle Paul raised him in the dead. Well, Paul, how is it? You raised this young man, but look at your own head. Look at Timothy. Look at Epaphroditus. Look at Eutychus. Look at Prophemon. Why didn't he heal that? It's strange, isn't it, why God heals some, and he doesn't heal others. Here you find in your Bible these divine principles, and the strange thing is about these so-called faith healers, they heal every sickness, so they think, but the last one. They never seem to heal that last one. The undertaker takes over. I wonder if you know something of the healing of your soul. We're going to be in sickly bodies until the Lord comes. What does the Bible say about the Christian body? It says this, that our corruptible, this world is put on interruption. What are you talking about? Our corruptible bodies are going to put on interruption in Jesus' life. Our mortal bodies put on immortality, our mortal bodies. And Paul speaks of his body. When I put off this body, this vile body, he says, of humiliation. Paul's picture of his body as being vile. I've got to put it off. And then in Romans chapter eight, he says this groaning creation, the Christian is partaker of a groaning creation. Groaning in the soul and body because of what sin has done, this party of humiliation, if you're four days after I'm dead, you wouldn't give me nickel. You wouldn't give a nickel to Jesus. And the sanitary authorities wouldn't let me stay around that long. All that's left is you asking. What about this story? God's interest in the truth. That's what he's interested in this morning. He's not in the spectacular, the sensationalism that accompanies so much of this faith, you mean. But God wants your food. If you ever, in this sovereign grace, use of doctor or medicine, if you give you a little better health, he's only more or less stalling off death. If the doctor comes... The body's got to see the death in it. God is giving you this little span of life down here to prepare for eternity. I wonder if you're going to prepare for it. God may put his hand upon your body to make you think of your soul. I saw a man say it went from Salem many years ago. He was a bishop of the St. Louis Cardinal. He was wounded for our transgressors. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement with a view to our having peace was laid upon Christ and with his stripes. We are healed. He's speaking about the body. He's at his first speech at two and quite a bit into it. Now he is going to come to Christ this morning and God's
