Bertridge in chapter twelve. And verse eight, for this one is given by the spirit of word of wisdom, another the word of knowledge, by the same spirit, with another faith, with another the same spirit, with another the gift of healing, by the same spirit, now. been taking up the healing subject. That is tonight on the body. And the school, the ward in the school that God oftentimes puts his children. That's a very interesting thing. Why Christian suffering? Who is responsible, God, or the devil, or neither? We've been taking that up tonight. What we want to get down to is to leave. three-point wisdom, the gift of wisdom, the gift of knowledge, and the gift of faith. We've been drawing attention to these things, but you know there are two things we can say about wisdom, and two things about knowledge, and two things about faith. This is quite the intro yesterday, and I think it's quite clear. In other words, there's not a thing as wisdom. Every child of God has some wisdom. He has wisdom that he knows he's saved. Christ is the wisdom of God. Now a Christian, everyone who's saved, for death is wisdom. For Christ has made unto us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption. Unto every Christian has wisdom. Like Timothy, he says, From a child, or weddings of death, from a child, thou hast known of holy scripture to be made to make me wise, untrue salvation. Uncle Timothy had wisdom. The wisdom of salvation. We do that. There's another thing. Wisdom is also a gift. Something in addition. Every Christian in the world who possesses Christ has wisdom. Wisdom from above in the person of the Lord Jesus. But every Christian does not have the gift or wisdom, a special ability, a special qualification. For instance, the Lord Jesus Christ says to the disciples, he says, have I not chosen you? Well, now he's speaking about calling for service, being chosen, selected for service. And he didn't do all his servants, no more, all his people were worked as servants. but he selected well because of the symbolic of Jesus. And also, Peter speaks of, God hath made choice among us. Paul speaks of that. God hath made choice among us. That Peter should go to the Jews, and he should go to the Gentiles. And so there is salvation, and when you know Christ, you have wisdom. and you're opposite to those who don't have Christ, they don't have wisdom at all. They're living in ignorance. But then after you know Christ as your Savior and your sins are forgiven, God gives to some people, He gives them the gift to use that wisdom that they have. A special gift, that's what you have in our text. The gift to some are given, the gift or wisdom. then he's taken out the gifts of knowledge. Well, that's also true. You have knowledge. If you're a Christian, you have the knowledge of salvation. You have the knowledge of sin forgiven. You have the knowledge of peace with God. You have the knowledge of everlasting life. You have this knowledge, and you have it the moment you receive Christ as your Savior. And that's wonderful to have this knowledge. Just to think, I know my sins are all forgiven. I know I have everlasting life. I know I shall never perish. I know. But then God gives some people the gifts of knowledge, the ability, the qualification to make known to others, to communicate to others what they know. I know some people, and they can deny that. They're happy Christians. and they know a lot of things, but they just don't have the ability to communicate. But God gives some the gift of knowledge, so they can explain and expound and communicate what they know to us. Some people can be very silent, and yet they have a lot of wisdom or a lot of knowledge, but they just don't have the ability to get the path at all. Now, that's what he's getting at. Some is giving the gift of wisdom, but some the gift of knowledge. Then you get down to faith, the same thing, the gift of faith. Now every child of God has faith. Well, he wouldn't hear God at all. He's exercised faith in Christ. I believe you know that. I thought you'd get on the floor on that. Every Christian has faith. take faith in Christ. When you deposit your faith in the Lord Jesus, the one who died for you on the cross, you are saved. And he tells us that's over in second Ephesians. By grace are you saved through faith, and let none of you tell that it's existed long, not a virtual day long. There is not a gift from God. Salvation is a gift from God. By grace are you saved through faith. Faith is that which brings God's salvation into your soul. But then after people are saved, all God's people are saved by faith, not by word. So then it pleases God to give some of his people faith, a special gift that can move out. Faith to conduct up the sycamore tree and plant it in position. Faith to do the supernatural. And this is what you have in the early part of the Acts. All these miracles that are being performed by the apostles to demonstrate the fact that they are the chosen ones of God to demonstrate the fact that their message is strong, God, before they have the Bible. They have these credentials, these evidence. Here is a gift, look. God-given man's gift of faith, humility. Demonstrate these facts by minute. And you might say this book of the Acts is not so much the act of the Apostles, but it's the act of the Spirit of God through the Apostles. So these are these three things that I want you to notice. You have wisdom, knowledge, faith. Wisdom, is the portion of every born new birth. You have Christ and Christ the embodiment of wisdom. You have knowledge. You have the knowledge that you're saved, you're born again, you're going to heaven. That's wonderful, huh? But then some people have a special gift of knowledge. They can communicate what they know. Then you have faith. Even though though your faith was small, if your faith was positive in Christ, you're saved. But not the amount of faith you have in the Savior. It's who your faith is in. If your faith is in Christ, you're saved. If your faith is in yourself, you're not. If your faith is in a church or organization that takes you to heaven, you're lost. But if your faith is in Jesus Christ, And all your faith is in him as far as self. He's not saved in faith. And you also get living faith. But the gift of faith is something else. And these things are plainly taught in your Bible and I trust. And we're going to have you along this line. Well, faith not to go back to the first one. The gift of wisdom in addition to the fact that you're faith, I don't know about it. And I was thinking of Solomon in this connection, and I'm going to read these from verses in verse king, three, nine, eleven. Give, therefore, thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between truth and bad, for who is able to judge this by so great a people? And the speech pleased the Lord that Solomon had asked the same. And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself, long light, neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies, but hast asked for thyself, understanding, discern, knowledge. Behold, I have done according to thy word, though I have given thee a wise and understanding, heart, and no... so that there was none like thee, before thee, neither shall there be any after thee. A wonderful God should give this special wisdom to Saul. Solomon was a child of God, as we understand it. He was one of the Bible kings. He didn't use all of this than he had, though. I don't see how much that he saw. Why, and why is when he gets a thousand wives? So Solomon had a lot of wisdom, but he didn't use it all well. And furthermore, you'll find down here what he says in first Kings four. This is an amazing passage. It says here, And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the seashore. And Solomon's wisdom exceeded the wisdom of all. the children of the East country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. And he spake of trees from the cedar tree that is in the Lebanon, even unto the Hittites that bringeth out of the wall. He spake also of beasts and of fowl and of creeping things and of fishes. And there came all people from all over the world to hear the wisdom of Solomon. Isn't that lovely? sick of the wisdom of Solomon. God gave them amazingly. He was God's sign. Now, God just selected Solomon and he imparted unto him, and God was pleased with his prayer. Solomon had a desire to be Jews of God. He thought of the Lord's people, and he knew he wasn't able or qualified to meet that great need of God. And he didn't ask the thing for himself. Often times of distance for me, me, and my family, and my relatives, and everything they ask for around me, me, me, me, me, me, me, I want to be blessed. But Solomon didn't. Here he was king, not too old. And there's that great thing. Lord, he says, I need wisdom, I need knowledge, I need understanding. How am I going to meet the great needs of my people unless I get rid of it? And God was free from that prayer. And God gave a wish. The same thing happened to Adam. Here's Adam. God agreed with him not with the red light and he was a living soul, but then God created all these various teachings, heard through the air, fish of the beast. But God gave Noah. Special knowledge, special wisdom. He couldn't have done what he did. Otherwise, notice what it says here. And out of that ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every fowl of the air that brought them forth unto Adam and brought them forth unto Adam to see what he would call him, what Reverend Adam called every living creature. That was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle and to the fowl of the air. unto every beast in the field, but for Adam there was not thousand houses. Today, I don't know whether you see it, but I do love that wild kingdom. There were animals home in this globe I never ever heard of. But could you conceive of God creating all these animals, and Adam was able to name them? God gave them great knowledge, great wisdom, He comes to another, he'll be a prophet of all, saved under the master's rules. What did God say? He said, the Lord chose him for a purpose. And he said, I'm a wise master of all, certainly or not that. He said, I'm a wise master of this. I was able to lay the foundation of the church in Corinth and other times. God gave them the villain to be a wise, not repentant. And so you have the very apparent God to select, to give wisdom. A wisdom amazing is the song, dumb like the most childish one. He gave wisdom to Noah. He gave wisdom to the apostles. He gave wisdom to the apostles. He wanted to speak of others. to whom it is. This is God, God will increase the world. Sometimes when I was reading it, I thought of myself. You know what? I didn't have any sense at all for what I was saying. Just a young man out in the Gippon Son of this world. I didn't have any physical sense. I didn't have any physical sense. All I thought about was living for this life. I didn't have any sense. But then I got saved at the age of nine years. Left school of church. And I was shy, believe it or not, not on the ice. But I was shy before congregating. I didn't want to speak. But after I got saved, something happened. The Lord opened my mouth, and I found my church. And by sovereign grace, God has enabled us to be saved. plant a number of children. This was God-given. Lord is mine. I didn't learn it in college, but I mean enough. But it's something that God brought me down the eighth family of the other day in my walk. And I began pondering over the years of time. And a few words that I put into my mind, and I should let it sit, and I think of my partner for a time, a little bit deeper, and I wrote down these words. And this is what I wrote down. What I am, He made me do. What I am not, He has kept me from me. In other words, God did it all. It's not a man bloated, natural, and physical. He's got to have spirit of ability, and this comes from God. No man can receive anything except him if he's given him from above. That isn't the realm of the... I'm told before this question is, Father, sharing gifts, gifts. A gift of me. Don't worry if we don't have that gift. God didn't give a gift. There's nothing worse than a certain time with these problems and they don't have the ability to do it. God gives man a certain gift. certain things will not for them to glory in that because God gave them. What hath thou that thou hast not received? And if you've received it, why do you go there? And so here you find a person, a retained wisdom of salvation, when they receive Jesus Christ. But then if God has the work for them to do, he'll give them the additional wisdom to do. That's the gift of wisdom you find in our life. Some are given the gifts of wisdom. They're also in reference to knowledge, the gifts of knowledge. In other words, I must have knowledge of life in Christ. Otherwise, I couldn't talk about Christ. You can quote and talk up the storm about my life as you're married. I can't, but I'm not married. I don't know what you've got a gift or a... But nevertheless, I know that when a person has an experience, they know all about it. Others speak from theory unless, as we get out of the Bible, we get out of the Bible, we are on good job. But here is a gift of knowledge. Knowledge without wisdom is impossible in the economy of thought. Knowledge in itself, without wisdom, is just a cold theology. God makes me think of wisdom and knowledge. And the roughness of that place. James says, the body without the spirit is changed, and so knowledge without wisdom is dead also. First I'm not using my head. I've noticed last Sunday. He says seven times. Knowledge. Knowledge. Knowledge. Wisdom is eternal. Wisdom has to do with God. They call it truth and parallel the depth of wisdom. Wisdom has to do with God. Knowledge has to do without doing things down here. Things we know, things we can do. How wonderful it is. We'll go over the beginning of these things. The fear of God is the beginning of it. No fear of God is foolish and suicidal. For the fool has said in his heart, there's no God. If you come out and say it ought to be a fool twice, for David says it, you must say it in your heart, there's no God, there's no fool. But if you go out and tell people, I'm going to, I'm going to believe in God and no fear of God. with whom, right? A fool has said in his heart that, No God, the look of how God must have all handed this, and said, I'll all fear God. How foolish. Fear of God is the beginning of this. God's wonderful salvation, how wonderful it is. And that salvation begins when you begin to fear God that he shouldn't against God and you've got to give an account to God for how you've lived and what you've done on this earth. And if the fear of God begins to grip your heart, you know you've got to meet him. And they won't do something about it. It is that any intelligence at all. If this is the ultimate, you've got to meet God. God says, prepare him and you die. So God wants us. fear him. I don't fear God as my church. I don't fear God as my church. I don't fear God as his evening and going to hell. But I fear God as his child. Because my father, Heavenly Father, is a disciplinary. My earthly one was too. He believed in patting his family on the back. Often enough, hard enough and low enough. He believed that. He lived up in heaven. As I told some of them yesterday, I said, what God often uses, the Lord of Registration, the Lord of Registration, and the people understanding what God will let you find in heaven. If you're His child, you're one of them. And Christians and Christians and Christians, because God is one of them, and if you're without disciples, then you say you're not children at all. So a sinner fears God because you're not ready to believe him. And God is a cognitive moment. It's exact evidence. But once you become a Christian, that perfect love of God capsules out, he will appear at home. Not afterwards, but the reverence of the fear of God. That reason. You take your power as a teacher, all you have to do is write for you, do that. You try that, you're not using the wisdom of God and the Christ. And so we have the grammatical wisdom and to knowledge. We all know something, it came with a moment I, the other night at the Bible study on Wednesday night. on John and John B. No, no, no. But I noticed while I was reading this book, four times in chapter three, you have those two words, we know, we know, we know, we know. I've never noticed them before. This was John, we know, we know, we know, we know. Now what are those things we know? In fact, they have fifteen days. In chapter three and the end of chapter five, that every Christian knows that wonderful knowledge. We know we have passed from death unto life. Now, this is what they say, and that is past death. We know we have passed from death. No question about it. Every Christian has this knowledge. We know he applied it in us. In verse twenty-four of chapter three, we know ye are by the dinner. For two present days, we know or have the present. We know we have found the present, right? Now it is, we know ye are by the dinner, that's the present. And the future, we know we are the truth. Well, that's present, too. We know where are the truth, and the forth in there, we know we shall be like this that we eat. We know. There's no judgment here. There's no hesitation. We know what is. We know we pass from death to life. We know we abide in us. We know we are of the truth. Isn't that wonderful? There's so much error in the world. There's come to your door and you wonder who is right. All kinds of scuff with letters. But there's only one truth. The Lord Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life. And it's wonderful for a person to say in a world of tradition, in a world of deception, in a world of false cult, doctrines of deeds, all kinds of error, to be able to say, I have this knowledge, I know, I have the truth. We know we're of the truth. John doesn't work like Peter. And he said, we know, and this is the future, we know we shall be like it. Also they knew, in first travel chapter two, they knew their sins were forgiven. Also they knew something else in chapter five and thirteen. We know we have everlasting life. There are six things these Christians knew. And I'm going to read them all over. in verse eighteen of chapter five. We know that whose forever is born of God sineth not, but doth not practice this. If you're born again, you're not going to be the same person you were before. You're not as long practiced in what you did before you were saved. And that's something every Christian should know. They that are in Christ are a new creator who speaks the whole thing to pass away all things that are new. But he says something else in that verse. But being that is begotten of God, keep it himself. Well, that doesn't mean that if I'm begotten of God, I keep myself, that's the word that you can try to use. Who is it that begotten is of God? We're begotten by the Spirit of God. And when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of God lifts up the standard again. And so, Every Christian. He can't keep himself. I can't keep myself. It's only the Spirit of God in me that can keep me and ward off the oppression of the enemy. And that's worth another thing, you know. And that the wicked one touches and not. It's not a wonderful thing. There's an area in the Christian that the devil himself can't have. God couldn't have. Three heads around you. And the devil couldn't get And that is that. The wicked ones, cotton and nothing. Tonight we're accustomed to know that. The devil has limitations. And thus far shall thou go and no bother, Mr. John. Without everything we know in those verses. Verse nineteen, and we know that we are of God. That's another thing. And the whole world lies in wickedness or in the hands of the wicked one. You ought to know that. and another, and we know that the Son of God is come. That's another thing. We know that. And has given us understanding enough. You know that? Isn't there something to know all these things? And it goes on. It tells us that we are, we know, he has, that the Son of God is come and has given us an understanding that we may know him that is true. And we are in him, that is true. And we know we are in some Jesus Christ. But I want to concentrate on one expression, a certainness of truth. We know we are the same. That's what the mosque says. I am in Christ. I am in Christ. I'm in Christ. That's not a church. That's a field. Now we've got an addiction. What is a field? Here is a field of body. Or is it an aura? Is it a ball? Is it an environment? Is it a property? Is it a field? Is it a field of rain? Or is it a rain? Or is it a gold? A field of activity? A field of influence? not remarkable, but I'm in a shear from seeing the cross. That's a different being a shear. Of course, you can make a circle on the ground and step onto that circle, put your own little level. That doesn't take me much above you, but I'm, you can step into that circle. That's not a big thing. But Jesus Christ is a circle of envy, a circle of power, a circle of light, and I invite you. I want a prophet. It's a shield. But if you could take that shield now and cause that shield and become, or take that circle and become a shield, you have something about it. You have something below you, you have something behind you, something in front of you, something on the right hand, something on the left. In the World Fair up in Montreal, Canada, a lot of nations had a huge sphere. In other words, there was a great big wall. And we had a full plane, ten people in it, not all inside the And inside that huge sphere of was that nation represented this life, this culture, all of it all. And you'd go in and you'd say, well, I'm here in Hungary, I'm here in Russia. And you'd say, well, I'm here in Russia. And you saw what was going on in Russia. There it is, concentrated in that sphere. That's the sphere. You take the sun, it's the sphere. And this is the earth is a shield. And if the earth is influenced by that shield, it's under the tugs of that shield. I am in Christ. I'm in the very center of the person of Jesus Christ. The height, the depth, the length, the depth of the love of God. I'm in the center of his life. Isn't that a wonderful thing? I came to Christ Jesus. I'm not in a certain on one level. That's where animals are, and that's where men are, on one level on Earth. The birds are in a sphere, the air all around them. Fish are in a sphere, water all around them, as we mentioned before. Bird is in the air, and the air is in the bird. The fish is in the sea, and the sea is in the fish. Christ is in me and I'm in Christ. Think of the in-group of Jesus Christ. That's fear. And I'm in that fear of a form. And that fear separates me from everything outside that. The existence of you being in Christ. And he separates you from the in-group of the world. fear of the wicked one. You say that fear is my fear or the impulse. Now all kinds of other influences, the influence of the word that the Lord Jesus Christ exercised in influence in my life. And I'm under his influence because I'm in that. And he separates me from evil in me. He protects me from all these other influences. And he supplies me with all that was in that year. I give you that. And you think of anything more wonderful than that? And that's what he's talking about. He gives me that. What is different from standing in a church Except across the line with it. But to think that you are in a sphere of influence that's divine. A sphere of influence and power that fit it. That's Christ himself. And Christ is in that field. And he is Christ. That's the sphere that's going to dominate this world. We have the spirit of convict and another spirit of interest. But when the Lord Jesus Christ comes with this globe and this orb and this spirit, he's going to come. And his influence spreads from pole to pole. The influence of the Lord Jesus Christ on earth, pole to pitch the sea. that we've been living. But this is what the Apostle taught me about. I know. We know we're in him. You know this morning you're in Christ's place. Could you be in a safer place? On all the resources inside that sphere are yours. She's with Christ and you're out on the floor in the street. He's power. He's risen. and you ring up jesus and god wants you to have navigated that he wants you to live in your enjoyment of that that's me so because we know you're ready for all you're saying you're in the love you're in your sin you're not going off and you're in a skin of a missing one that's a bad fear to be in his territory, his reign, where he rose. This is it for what God says for those who are in this wonderful spirit, in Christ Jesus. How sweet it is, how sweet of you, or in your life is Christ in God. You're in a shield, and the very heart of that shield. of China and the very circumference of that is huge. It's like an orb within this world of ours. All these planets are huge. But there's one sphere in the universe of God where Jesus Christ is the center. And that's where I am in the very heart of this sphere. The sphere people use it is that Oh, I think now that it works, they love it, be true. They mean by that, oh, I can't explain. Why, you've got it in the world, go to other countries, oh, it's out of this world. I can't tell you how wonderful it is. And I can't tell you how wonderful it is. It's out of this world. It's not all. He tries to stop him. I'm going to read the text about time to go. It says this, And account of the long suffering of God our Lord is our nation. Even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him that hath written unto thee, and also in all his apostles, speaking of them of these things in which are something hard to be understood to say that are unlearned and unstable rest, as they do also the other scriptures under the Lord's promise. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things, beware lest ye also being led away with the error of the wicked fall from your own steadfastness. But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You grow in grace. You don't grow into grace. Once you get in grace, then you can grow. A tree or a plant, the other is put in the door before you grow. You've got to be in grace before you can grow. But he says, go in grace and in love. He's rather than talking about the morning. How would it be to the least of your knowledge, the synonyms of it? The more you want to discern these things and enjoy them, then you've got to give them the gift to pass them off. He doesn't want to be a Christian. He just go in case and acknowledge how wonderful. Less wisdom, and then have a different God views that was this knowledge. help of God to have gone that knowledge, and to have faith, the help of God to exercise that faith, is doing great things for God to give you. You know, there's a little key, and it hits a very complex block that opens a great door into a wonderful building that full of all kind of precious things, heavenly things, blessings, things beyond our little minds throughout the earth, all that's in that great building, behind that great door, and behind that complex lock is a little sleep that gives you admission. And the little sleep is safe. Do you have that vision? If you have that, oh, what this is open to the people, you open your eyes. Don't you know all these things? May God give you the glory of that time. I remember years ago when I was preaching, when I was preaching, I was going, one lady, the farmer's wife, That's not all the other folks who are involved are being free. But I'll tell you one thing. If I get saved, our people can myself, I'm not going to return it to the land that's all over. She's got saved. She's the Lord's not the Lord. Why? She's calling people up, telling them how she got saved. She has couldn't be with it. She's the Lord. That's it. And that's what it means is that the Lord knows what's not. You won't get in trouble if you drop it in the rock. You won't get in trouble if you drop it in the rock. But this woman found quite much you wanted to talk about it, talk about it, talk about it. Another grand thing when you found that little piece, the sheer thing, the first open to that complex scene for some people, a complex law, salvation, a complex law. He said, no one understands. The key is law. This Navy got changed the other day. She said the master won't bring it to her and it was so brutal. She said, I thought it had to have a wonderful experience. I thought it had to be frightening and thunder and wind racking, wind racking. She said, I never knew. What did I explain that? It's the simplicity of spell making a lot of people stumble over it. That little key, that little key, As wonderful for them. Just put your faith in Jesus Christ. And there's no other open. And inside that door there'll be wonderful things. Inside that fear, unspeakable things. Heavenly risen. All over. Name it. Spiritless. That which glorifies the Jinnah, peace. and all be open. You don't have to join a church, you don't have to pay a dollar. Just exercise that little key of faith. And it opens it all up. And when you take flight, it will be accepted for the morning after it's finished. So all of you, and you'll be a happier citizen of the world, all of you is going to get there. I've already got a number of minds, my friend God born, all those days, the happiest person you will ever have to drink, exercise, raise and trust, all the glories of this person and the glories of that
