Christian, Thirteen, Thirteen, and the Last Verse. And now abide at the feet of love. These three. But the greatest of these is love. We're just speaking on these three points, or these three wonderful truths, these virtues. The last year, for a Sunday morning, for the five to truth in this morning. The whole theme of the plan of God's wonderful salvation, it is Jesus that man encircles these three points, faith, hope, love. There is absolutely no salvation for man. There's no getting to heaven by man. There's no way in which God can be glorified unless man exercises faith. The Bible is very clear on that. It comes to over in Hebrews that without faith, I think it's Hebrews eleven and six, without faith it is impossible to be God. And so it is essential, if anyone is interested in salvation wants to get to heaven, to be sure that he or she has saving faith. not a historical faith, believing that Columbus discovered America, which he did, but this is a different faith, not just believing in Christ as a wonderful character that came into this world nineteen hundred years ago. No, this faith that God is speaking about is a faith that changed the soul. And glorifies God. The South Cape it is impossible to be God. It's a small ship. God is it. It's an important ship. S-A-I-C-H. Faith. I read a story one time of a ship out at sea, and a lady saw a shipper of the ship, and he was hurrying across deck somewhat slightly. There's something serious was wrong. And she said, what's wrong? Something wrong? Yes, madam. Something is wrong. Our rudder is broken. So she said, I wouldn't worry about that. That's below water. No one can see it. But why worry about it? Ah, yes. That rudder is the most important thing. We'll never reach our destination unless that rudder is sick. And then you'll never reach heaven unless you have that unseen quality, that unseen faith that man cannot see, but God sees, faith in him. God knows the artificial faith. He knows the genuine faith. Faith saving faith in what Christ did for you upon the cross. will take you to heaven otherwise known. I want to say this, that the most faulty Christians, and there are many faulty Christians, but faulty Christians is better than the best sinner on earth because that faulty Christian has done something that pleases and glorifies God. that the best sinner has on God. That is, that thoughtly Christian has believed God. That thoughtly Christian has trusted Jesus Christ, whereas that sinner has. That sinner may be some righteous, honest, an evil category, may give all his or her money, to feed the poor, make all kinds of sacrifices. God says without faith, and that holy Christian is going to help because he gives up that that best in his kingdom he believes in. And that's the best compliment you can give to Almighty God is to believe in him with a trusting faith. without faith that's impossible to please God. I wonder if you have really believed God this morning. We don't think. There are things that men have done. We thought at one time were impossible in various fields. In other words, in the field of medicine, in the field of electronics and fields, how the military... and other fields, men had done wonders. As you said before, why, when I was at school, we talked about the cow jumping over the moon, if you had told people back then that a man would go to the moon and explore it and come backward, they'd take you to an insane size. Why, that's impossible. That's impossible. Many things they saw in these fields many years ago, that's impossible. That doesn't exist. Today it is all. But when you come into the field of the spiritual and have to do with our mighty God, God hasn't changed, and man hasn't improved, like man has in his other days. It's still the same thing from Genesis, the Revelation, without faith. It's impossible to believe God. Yet many women are trying to improve and improve and improve. I just read an article yesterday about the church that died by improvement. In other words, they came up with so many improved. They improved the churches. They improved their schedule of meetings. They even improved by getting a modernistic preacher. And they improved the clock. And after a while the church closed up. It died by improvement. People are trying to improve themselves, improve themselves. Man is trying to lift themselves up by the hoop sand. Sand, let me say, is still sand, without faith. Old-fashioned faith, it's impossible to please prosper. That's in your life. I'm going to give you a remarkable text here. In Luke, eighteen, twenty-seven, a victory took a little word on this few weeks ago to worship him. And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, that is when he saw the rich young ruler, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God? For it is easier for a camel to go through the kingdom of God. can put a rich man to enter into the kingdom of heaven. And they that heard it then, whose then he can be saved? And Jesus said, The savourish are impossible with men, are possible with God. The word impossible is a sad word, a depressing word, meaning there's no hope. You can't do anything. It's just absolutely impossible. God was on to point out from the Lord Jesus, things which are impossible with men. And if there's one thing that's impossible for man to do, that is shameful. You can't save yourself. The Lord said, except the man be born again, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Amen. Just that. You can't. And nevertheless, you've got to have faith. exercise shaming faith, complete trust, absolute commitment to the word and work of God in order to be saved. Your works will never fail. You're saved by grace through grace and that none of yourselves is the gift of God, not a work that any man could boast. Now look at the illustration of the Lord Jesus. He said that this camel is just as impossible for a man to save himself. Here it is. And he mentioned a rich man, too, but a moral man. It's just as impossible for him to be saved as it is for a camel to go through the eye of an eagle. Now, back in those days, they called the gate, going into the temple, into the city, because those cities were circulated, a big wall circulated around them, and here and there, And it was for security purposes. Here and there there was a gate. And that's where the camels used to go in. They had it at a certain height. They had to strip the camels of all cargo. And sometimes the camel had to get on a tree. And there'd be some pulling and some pushing. They were trying to get this big old clumsy animal to that gate. But it was a difficult task. And in many cases, in part, in part. But then let's take that Nagel's eye to mean something else. Something that you ladies, if you're old, you can hardly fret. The real eye of a little steel needle. Could you get a camel through that? You certainly have to reduce it to some pretty small. Something like liquid and fluid, I know how still it would be. Now friends, you may strip yourself of all bad deeds. You may get on your knees and try and humble yourself. People may pull and people may push to try and get you into heaven. But you're not going to heaven that way. You've got to be the juice to suck our size. that you're absolutely here. Nothing. And so says Christ. It's impossible for the rich man or the poor man to save himself. But what's impossible with man is possible with God, God can save you. God has to save you. And only what he can do through Christ will ever take you there. And that's the lesson of this passage of the Lord Jesus. What is impossible of men is possible of God. When men give up their hands or throw up their hands and say it's impossible, I can't do it. All right, says God, I will. That's what God wants you to do. If he wants to go to heaven, he wants you to just give up trying to save yourself. I cannot save myself. It says, Abraham believed God, and it was accounted unto him for righteousness or salvation. Now notice Abraham. He was ninety years of age. And part of said of it, sir, in fact, she reached the hundreds and she was ninety, and they had no teeth. And according to the laws of nature, they would death. Abraham mentioned that. God takes Abraham out and says, Abraham, I want you to look at the stars. Can you count those? I'm going to give you a seed. After morning from all the stars in the sky. And he said, I'm going to, you look at all that sand in the desert, I'm going to give you a seed of numerous results. Show, share, thy seed. Abraham just put up a little argument. Lord, how can I be? I'm the old man. I'm selling my wife to this animal. Abraham believed God and God saved him. He believed God against all the resources of nature. Well, nature didn't have any resources in this way until he said it. and against nature, the impossibility of nature. God saved Satan. God did. Because Abraham believed God. He accounted unto him for righteousness. Then when man comes at the end of his human resolve, realizes how impossible it is for him to put away itself, to give himself eternal life. or get on the narrow road there. But God's got to do it. Salvation is of the Lord. Then God will do it. But the difficult thing is to get man to the end of the road. Through a dead end speech where he's got to turn around and face off and say, God, I'm a sinner. I'm going to head and I'm going to shed Christ. He's my only road. But I'll see. impossible to believe God. I cannot have the salvation I want unless I come to church. It's impossible. I cannot be the servant I want to be. Without him, it is possible. Without him. I cannot endure the sorrow which I may pass. It's without him. It's impossible. I cannot go to heaven. Without him, it's impossible. I've got to have you. I can't overcome sin. Without him, it's impossible. But with Christ, I can recall this. Without him, nothing. Faith, mighty faith. Do you have faith that the grain of lusts receive? And when you be bothered, in the word of God which tells the story of God shall leap into you, and you'll be born again by the word of God which lives in the Bible. So that man will put that tiny sheet of paper in this wonderful load, this wonderful soil of God's word and say, God, I believe it. That ground, that wonderful soil of scripture was read with the blood of God. The moment when you put your faith in the precious blood of Christ shed a calvary when you ever go to heaven. Then you come to the next, hope. This is wonderful moment. This thing is called hope. Salvation first. You don't hope to be saved. Faith has shaped you. Then comes hope. Hope is something that's still future. Pope has to do with the coming of the Lord. For what a man sees, what should be a hope for the Bible says? If I see a thing, I no longer hope for it. But if I'm told about a place that I've never seen, or a person I've never seen, I've got the right size thing. And then I hope someday I'll see that place. The gospel is there. What a man sees Why did he get older? I haven't seen the world coming. I haven't seen heaven yet. But it's mine. I know it's mine. Satan has taught me on the road. And the coming of Christ is my daily hope. It's something I'm going to endure and read about the patience of hope. Oh, that hope is a wonderful day. Peter says, verse three to one three, God has begotten us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Romans twelve are rejoicing in hope, patience in tribulation. In Romans five, five, hope make us not ashamed. First John three, three, beloved, now are we the sons of God, and just not yet appear what we shall be, but we know. And he shall appear, and he shall enlighten, for we shall see in our these days. What a hope this is. The verse is the most wonderful verse. In the Bible, a hope is in Hebrews chapter six, that by two immutable or unchangeable things in which it was impossible for God to last, when speaking about impossibility, it is impossible for God to last. we might have a strong consolation who are pled for refuge and lay hold upon the earth, set before, which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, though sure and steadfast when it enters into that within the veil, whether the forerunner has but not entered, leave indeed. So is it a remarkable thing? Here Paul is giving us the picture of a stormy sea, but inside the bay of the harbor, everything is sired and caught. And this book, as in English, I throw its anchor inside the harbor. But the ship is still knowing something of the rough waters outside the harbor. It's known just what it is. Because the answer says, And friends, I know I'm going to be in heaven. Because my answer says, Jesus Christ is there. And he's the first group. Afterwards they that are Christ and his son. I'm going to make a statement. You may be shocked. I'm just as sure of being in heaven as Jesus Christ is. Well, he said that. Yes, I have an end. It was then the day where Jesus Christ died. Now is, and this is our hope, the hope of the Christmas. Sunday, the stormy sea will be left behind as it winds through the mountain into the harbor. Ah, yes, the one who kept me while I was on the rock waters outside the harbor. is the Lord Jesus. And he's going to pull me up. He's a quiet part of the woman. First book of Bible. This is the hope. It's sure. This is the answer. Sure and perfect. This anchor won't crash. This anchor is turned and passed within the faith where Jesus Christ is. How wonderful is this, Lord. very fast as the Lord Jesus was already there. The assurance, the guarantee, the place that I'll be there. And every born again Christian will be there. Do you want any better hope than that? That's where by and large this is God's wonderful tradition. Tired of Jesus, looking for that blessed hope. Stop talking about salvation. You're so saved. Faith will share that. Now this is what the fruit will take. looking for that lexical, the fulfillment, the coming again of the Lord Jesus Christ. I got a ticket. Yes, the ticket, I'll do the trick to take you to some wonderful place in the world. But I haven't been there yet. I've been offered a ticket to the palace room several times, and I turned it down. People are there get a ticket. They're going to France, or they're going to us, the parties, or they're going to the mill. They've got the ticket. They're not there yet. But they've got the ticket. It's just a matter of waiting a few days, and you're a little patient. And you do that. Take what you get, a ticket. Then you just wait for the fulfillment of your hope. And that'll be when you're with some light sight. a wonderful great gift. First Epimonians, Lord, I said, he saw not as others which had no hope. Who are these that had no hope? The unsaved. They don't have any hope. They had no fright. They had no God. They had no salvation. Ephesians chapter two, Isaiah. I was shocked with something I read last night. that the world population is now about four billion. Would you believe me that two point seven billion people on this globe are without thought, without hope, without strength, without salvation? And one point three billion have never heard the talk. And some people in this auditorium this morning are among those who are without hope of two point seven billion. You are here in the rock, but you haven't accepted it, and you're still among those in the sight of God. Two point seven billion in heavens and the earth here without Christ, without God, without hope in the world. physical thing. Most of them haven't heard of what you have. And that'll be your company forever if you won't receive the Lord Jesus. And this is it. It is plain that only two hundred million in the world are born again believers. Five percent of the world population. That's a good example. Yes. How wonderful to have this hope of going through with Christ in lightning and joining loved ones round the hall and sharing with them. We shudder not with others if have no hope. For the Lord shall descend from heaven with a shout of the voice of our kings and the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first. And we who are alive and remain shall be brought up together beneath the earth and the air, so shall we whatever do with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with this hope. What a comforting hope of a family reunion. A comforting hope of this gift and life-trite. Whatever. And look at this verse over in Job. Jose. A.D. Borky. Two folks shall be cut off, and he struck the lead of a fighter's death. Here is some of you, and I'm old enough to recall this incident. It happened those in California some forty years ago. It was the story of the human fly. The man who spun up the big building, signed it. He was called the human fly. He was climbing this building out in California as the crowd gathered, twenty-two stories. And he went up, and he went up, as the crowd did with a mile away, watching this man drop that gray wall. From Wimbledon, up, and up, and up, and up. Finally, hesitated. He needed one more lead. with his hand and then the other one over the roof. He hesitated. He hesitated. He saw a dark grave lay as he thought. He had the kind of grave grab it. And he did it, and then he plumbered it with a pate and a chisel in it. He touched in his hand was a spider's leg. The spider had woven its bed across the court, and a lot of strips and dust and dirt had gathered, and it looked like a little cement ledge. And he put his truss in it, and he caught it. His whole piece of a spider's leg there. Friend, are you putting all this? in a spider's bed, your good life, your church affiliation, some church warden, or your good deed, or your kind, are you trusting in these things? Because we are, like this, we are both together, by the grace, it will cost you your children. He needs something more concrete than that. We must have the solid, firm word of God. Oh, yes, how many are going to go off and take that fearful plunge with Paul. They didn't have strife. They put their faith in Christ when something else out of the Bible says, we hope we have decided that. When you think of the word hope or hope, It was a sad, sad word. I think some of you possibly have heard about Lipton. I've heard about him since I was a boy. Like you've read his work, you might be have. About his trading business, he won many a trophy. He's a great tea man. And he won many a trophy. World of his, he called it his tea. He came to the end. And this is what he said. You are not a millionaire. Just before he died, he said, I'd give up every trophy in my collection for the ones I haven't got. That is, a group of heaven and eternal life. That's it. He was well known as a winner in both English and American books. He won nails, but he lost the man. He lost the man. He lost the man. But I'll show the real Lord official when God ain't confessed. I have lived too much for secondary things in life, and lost the name of the eternal life, the new birth, and peace was lost just for the taste. See, true. dying with our souls. First is a wonderful word, a single short. Many a kind is likely famous for a tender again. And she's out of multitude, a close game. The hope from the fear. Oh, the hope team has gone away. Some fear they won't. What are they watching? They're caught. Time comes when the clock struck, the same boat, and the hope will go, the hope didn't in dash. Too late. Yes, the clock's gonna stop. Time's run up, and you didn't have your faith in Christ. What made sadness and growth? You were on the losing. Shoy to those who are on the winning side. Shire that up. Friend, when Jesus Christ comes, it's going to be wonderful. The words of us who are saved in the offering is those who are lost. How wonderful to have this sure and certain hope for the coming again of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen, Lord. faith settled your salvation, the coming of Christ. It is through the end of your hope. Then you see it. And what a man sees. Why did he not see it? And so we heed these wonders of faith, hope, and love. Abraham demonstrated faith, and Job demonstrated patience. Freedom of the patience of Job. Through Jesus, he illustrates love. He was fourteen years in that race. The true man who was fourteen high years, was this the right? He did, that love. Oh, yes, wonderful Lord. Have faith. Wonderful to have touched in your heart the hope of the coming of him of the Lord's womb. For then love. A runaway is lost. Faith is set, but hope is set. Faith appropriates, but hope and discipline. Faith believes, and faith, hope is set, and will. Faith is the root of this. Hope is the root. Faith sends out hope, with talent, You're coming, the Lord. Hope is the last thing that lies in a human heart. The parents knew the son, or one gone away. They hope, hope, hope. Someday that some of the good friends of the ones were hoping that some of those prisoners out in North Vietnam want to go more, the issue of hope. Say, please, move around the dying dead of a loved one. Oh, there's a maiden that's tied with hope. Hope in the last days, dies in a humankind. How wonderful to know that that all the way to hope is not one way. Hope is the rainbow. that encircle our darkness of life. This is a star that shines in our darkness of night. Hope. How wonderful you are. Faith, I'm saying, but oh, that hope, that hope, that hope. The Christian hope is the coming of life. The very Christian, who is the coming of life. Now what is he hoped for? He hoped for a new body. He hoped for a new environment. He hoped for a new environment. He hoped for a new society. He hoped for this home. And he would get it that way. How wonderful is he, he hoped. It's all right. So I've been a little patient for and yet. But love went about life. Love's a wonderful thing. The greatest of things was love. No man was dying of glass for Scotland. And the Christian. And he got a visit one day. And they shared a few things for a few minutes. And then he said to his visit. I've just had to leave it with. He said, now I've dismissed you. Yes, he said. The first visitor is Miss Faith. And I said, Faith, I sure appreciate you. But I'm going to say goodbye. I thank God for you, Faith, and for your confidence that I first trusted Christ. And now I'm going, well, I won't need any more, Faith. Faith is raised with that. And said the second visitor in the book, when I said, Hope, farewell, you have been a real help to me. You have helped me through many battles and much to shred. But now I shall not need you anymore, for I am going where hope hath into the other, into fruition. But then now, you have indeed been my friend. You have linked me with love and with man. You've been with me all during my pilgrimage. I can say goodbye to you. You will pass through the portals of the kingdom. My mouth is perfected in heaven. Faith, hope and love is a dream of me. Dynasty love. in the flesh of Christ. Then love will have its fullness left. Nothing to mar it, to chill it to cool it. Love the love of God forever. This love is not generated on earth or manufactured on earth. This love is an oppression for man Christ Jesus. It can be yours, but I don't treat it with nothing. This verse gives us the strongest shield in the world. Faith. This verse gives us the safest anchor in the world. Hope. This verse gives us the greatest pain in the world. Love. Love is light that does that nor be reached in the morning. Oh, the trouble that is. There you see more of that lovely quite curved. He's holding it in his neck. He looks out over the trouble water in the morning. I had a letter for him. All day long he was watching and watching and watching. Finally he sees something coming. It has been all day. The evening now all day. It was a dove that came back. Rower took it back into the bosom and into the ark. Nineteen hundred years ago God released the Holy Spirit from the dear friend of God. Since then that lonely earth has been flying up and down the center over the earth, dwelling in the hearts of those who want it. One of these days when we're getting near Easter, the droughts want to return from the once in the mission. Love will go as it turns the path of God back to him when Christ comes to his church. Faith, hope and love, these things of the great and of these with love. love forever, but wonderful anticipation. This will be the portion of all who have put their feet in the Lord Jesus Christ. Dear Pope and love, not attainable by money, that's impossible. Attainable only in the first glory of love, and Jesus Christ. was the expression of the cross. He is perfect love. And perfect love passes out to you. You need not fear. If you have love, perfect love, agape love, every love in your heart. Ah, yes. So in your heart this morning, let me say, take in Christ your security. You have hope, and you're satisfied. When Jesus comes with the wickedness, then you'll reach it more. How one will be? You say, satisfied, secure, faith, hope, not. Do you know that? If not, why not? Join in the already gospel chapel with David, you need Christ. You need one who is the reservoir, the source of supply on this life is divine. It's not human love, it's not people. If it's heaven enough, if it's love came from heaven, if it's going back to heaven, if there's no love in hell, only hate. Whatever. You want to go to that place, you will not blame. grains of him. We accept Christ as he is. Shall we pray? Our Father in heaven in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we come before him. We ask thy blessings on thy grave. We thank thee for these things thou hast given us in thy word. Thank thee for all you have by faith received by him. And have never been in thy heart even now that blessed hope. to purify the coming again of the Lord Jesus Christ. And then blouse, when face to face with Christ my Savior, face to face, I that shall be like him. Oh Father, one of them, face to face. What is Christ my Savior, face to face? What shall a demon of rapture I be fooled? Jesus Christ, he died. My word is the salvation of sinners, and the edification of comfort, and thy beloved people, the answer in our Savior's name. There is faith in God. Three hundred and sixty-five, softly and tender, Jesus calling, calling for you and for me. See on the forehead. He's thinking. He's watching. He's watching for you. I'm going to, when are a Christian, hear you come to Christ. Let me start with you. Three, six, five.
