Here's a story that comes out of World War II in sugar rationing. A woman went to the ration board for extra sugar stamps. She said, all the sugar we have in the house is what's on the kitchen table. The official asked, well, how much is that? The little one at her side gave the answer, two hundred pounds. Now, she didn't tell the rest of the story, did she? What she said was true, but It was not the whole truth. The Bible says in the letter to the Colossians, Do not lie to one another, since you have laid aside the old self with its evil practices. This has been a moment to remember from the Bible.
