Thank you. Greetings, friends. In the Book of Isaiah, we have some very important statements made and revelations made in regard to God, Jehovah, and his dealings with mankind, and his provisions for mankind. It's a prophecy. It prophesies of the Lord Jesus coming into the world. And it also tells what he's doing and going to do when he does come into the world. It's a vital importance to everyone who is interested in their soul salvation and in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. So we'd like to look just a little while at the fifty-third chapter of Isaiah, which is a chapter that gives the sufferings of the Lord and the purpose of his sufferings and the report of them. In the first verse of fifty-third chapter we read, Who has believed our report? A question. And to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? A question. The book of Isaiah is a unique one. There are sixty-six books in the Bible, and Isaiah has exactly sixty-six chapters in that one book of Isaiah. It's the only book in the Bible. It has exactly sixty-six chapters, which is the exact number of the number of books in your Bible and mine. Sixty-six books, thirty-nine in the Old Testament, and twenty-seven in the New Testament. Sixty-six altogether. And this chapter, fifty-three, starts out with a question, Who has believed our report? Now this... It certainly contemplates that a report has been made. A report has issued. And certainly that is true. A report has issued. Isaiah has issued that report. And broadening out further, the other writers of the Bible have issued their report so that man today has the complete report. Of God the Father, God Jehovah, to mankind, there will be no addendums, no additions, there will be no taking away. But man has the entire revealed mind of God that's intended for man to have. All that's necessary and far more than he's ever able to absorb and use himself. But the question here is not that a report has not been issued. The report hasn't been issued. The report has been published. It's published in your Bible and mine. And the difficulty is that we don't read it, and we don't get the report because it's in our Bible, but we don't get it because we don't read it. Now, this is generally, this is a general situation. There are some exceptions. There are some people who read the Bible. Of course there are. But for the vast majority of people, if you ask them, when they read the Bible last, a great many of them wouldn't be able to tell you when they read a chapter in the Bible. So the report has been issued. The report has been made. It's been issued. And it's a nice... volume, and in good form, convenient, so that we can read it for ourselves, no matter where we are and who we are, we can read it for ourselves. Who hath believed it, though? Who hath believed our report? Isaiah wrote, unto you a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be on his shown. and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace. The report has issued, but the salient question is, friends, who hath believed that report? Now let us be personal, so that we can get the benefit of what God intends and desires on the part of human beings. on earth today, who hath believed our report. So now the question comes down, have I believed it? Have I known about the report? Have I read the report? Do I know somewhat of the content of the report concerning God, Jehovah, the Lamb of God, the Savior, the Shepherd, And the Word of God describing what the work of the cross means to everybody who have believed our report. Who? May we make it a little personal? Have you believed it? As an individual, have you believed it? the report that God has given concerning his provision for the human family for time and for eternity. Because in the book of Amos we read, God's going to do something. He's going to bring judgment. And he says in the book of Amos, and because he'll do this, then prepare to meet thy God, O Israel. This is a pertinent part of the report for you and me. It just simply means we must prepare to meet God, that we are not now ready to meet God. Unless we've trusted the Savior, we cannot meet God with favor. We must be put out, shut out. For all eternity if we die without accepting the provision that God has made for us. Without accepting the Lord Jesus, as many as received him, writes John, in the first chapter of the Gospel by John, as many as received him, to them gave me power, the right, to become the sons of God, the children of God, even to them that believe on his name. He has said that he died for us, the report says that he died for us on the cross. Have you believed him? Have you, before God, have you accepted the Lord Jesus as your Savior? When did you do so? If you did. It's a marked day or experience in the lifetime of any precious soul. There's no mistaking about it. It's the greatest experience you can possibly have. It takes place in an instant. It isn't joining the church. It isn't reading your Bible. It isn't praying. It isn't being baptized. It's trusting Christ as your Savior. It's an act of faith. By grace are you saved through faith. That's not of yourselves. It is the gift of God. All of those other things, the church, the reading of the Bible, pray, baptism, are wonderful in their place. But they're not salvation. Without shedding of blood, there's no remission. This is a part of the report. Behold now is the accepted time. Behold now is the day of salvation. That's a part of the report. It means that you must be saved now, not tomorrow. You may be able to get saved tomorrow, but there's no promise of tomorrow. The promise is now, if you will hear his voice, harden not your heart. It's appointed unto men once to die, but after this judgment, that's a part of the report. And the pertinent, salient question is, the searching question is, who hath believed our report? Isaiah and the other writers could combine in this question, who hath believed our report? And you must answer. And I must answer whether or not I have believed it. And if I haven't, then I should do so now. If you haven't, you should do so now. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved. That's the report that John brings. It's the Lord's message. The Lord spake those words himself. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Yes. Who has believed our report, and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? The arm of the Lord. That's the strength of the Lord. That's a symbol for the strength of the Lord. Have you felt the power of God revealed in the Scriptures the truth that since you believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, you've known the power of God in your life? You knew you were convinced you were satisfied, you had trusted Christ, and the Bible says you're saved, and you know it, and you realize it, and you enjoy it, do you? Then, if you don't, make haste before it's too late. To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? Yes, it's not just something that I say, oh, yes, I do, and then go on just the same as you were before. No. In the fifty-ninth chapter of this same book, Isaiah, in verse sixteen, the prophet says, and he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor. Therefore his arm brought salvation unto him, and his righteousness had sustained him. His arm, God's arm, brought salvation. Yes, the Lord Jesus went to the cross. His arms were extended wide. They were nailed to the cross for you, while he bear your sins in mind. And he asked you now, has it been revealed to you that he died just for you a sinner? This is the pure, plain, simple gospel. The Word of God. Not man's idea at all, but it is the good Word of God. The report that each of us is requested to believe. My friend, have you believed the report about the Savior and about you, the sinner that needs salvation? Whosoever you are, You may be saved now. He lives. He waits to save. We thank the Heavenly Father for the report. We thank the good word of God. We thank the it tells us of the Savior who loved us and died that we might be with him, saved and with him for all eternity. We pray that many will. Pray again for our country. We pray for our government. We pray for our president and the rulers and authorities everywhere. We ask thy blessing. And thy help. that the souls may trust the Savior and be saved for time and eternity, for we ask in his precious name, Amen.
