Good morning, moments of melody time. We invite you to stay with us for the next five minutes. You know many people are like wheelbarrows, no good unless pushed. Some are like canoes, they have to be paddled. And then some are like kites. If you don't keep a string on them, they fly away. Some are like footballs. You can't tell where they're going to bounce next. Some are like balloons, full of wind and ready to blow up. Some are like trailers. They have to be pulled. And then some are like a good watch. Open face, pure gold, quietly busy, and full of good works. Shall I empty hands let me When beside the Christian me, I shall stand before the everlasting And I answer to my name With no deeds that my Redeemer there can go. And now the Gospel according to Dr. Luke. reading from chapter eleven. The Lord Jesus speaking. The unclean spirit which has possessed a man and then goes out of him, walks about the desert, looking for a resting place and finds none. And it says, I will go back to my own dwelling from which I came out. And it comes back to find that dwelling swept out and neatly set in order. Thereupon it goes away and brings in seven other spirits. more wicked than itself to bear it company. And together they enter in and settle down there, until the last state of that man is worse than the first. When he thus spoke, a woman in the multitude said to him aloud, Blessed is the womb that bore thee, the breast which thou hast sucked. And he answered, Shall we not say, Blessed are those who hear the word of God, and keep it? There is an emptiness in every life without Christ. If it stays empty long, Satan will attempt to fill it. Know, open your heart, your life to Christ. Let him fill it. And there will be no room for Satan.
