Even a casual study of the Development of civilization will impress one with the fact that every human being has an inherent cry after God." Ulrich Jelnick continues, The quest or cry after God can be satisfied only by God on his terms. These are clearly stated so that each of us can understand. For there is one God and one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, as whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Although there are many reasons why I, as a scientist, believe this book is God's word, the supreme reason is that I have come to know personally the one about whom it speaks, because I have come to God on his terms. Now I wonder if you can pause for a few moments as we read together from St. Paul's letter to the Philippians. In conclusion, my brothers, delight yourselves in the Lord. It doesn't bore me to repeat a piece of advice like this, and if you follow it, you will find it a great safeguard to your souls. Be on your guard against those curs, those wicked workmen, those would-be mutilators of your bodies.
