Morning, friends. Time again for moments of melody. Five minutes to help you begin your day. Great. Is there any correlation between school grades and success? Are the best positions in life occupied by men and women? who made the best grades in school. A research study of one thousand seventy-two leaders in finance, education, and government listed in Who's Who in America shows a majority of those leaders average C-plus to be in college. And in our reading from the sacred scriptures today, St. Paul makes some suggestions about intellectualism. Sometimes when my faith would falter And no sunlight I can see I just lift mine eyes to Jesus, and I whispered, Pilate me, Hear thou not for I'll be with thee. I will still die violently. Never mind the tossing bill. Take my hand and trust in me. When I come to Jordan's river, And the troubled waters see. On the break I'll see my Savior, And I know you pilot me. With thee I will steal thy pilot me Never mind the tossing billows Take my hand and trust And now St. Paul's letter to the Colossians. I write like this to prevent you from being led astray by someone or others' attractive arguments. For though I am a long way away from you in body, in spirit I am by your side, watching like a proud father the solid steadfastness of your faith in Christ. Just as you receive Christ, so go on living in him in simple faith. out of Him, as a plant grows out of the soil it is planted in, becoming more and more sure of your ground and your lives will overflow with joy and thankfulness. Be careful that nobody spoils your faith through intellectualism or high-sounding nonsense. Such stuff at its best is founded on men's ideas of the nature of the world and disregards Christ. Yet it is in him that God gives a full and complete expression of himself within the physical limit that he set himself in Christ. Moreover, your own completeness is only realized in him who is the authority over all authorities and the supreme power over all powers.
