Fire insurance. Fire insurance can pay a sum of money in case of fire, but can't prevent the fire or put it out or bring back the possessions or persons destroyed. And so the Lord Jesus urges his followers, don't store up treasures here on earth where they can erode away or be stolen. Store them in heaven, where they will never lose their value and are safe from thieves. Even more valuable than your possessions is your life. Is your life insured with God? He's provided a way, the only way, by becoming a child of God. John's gospel is the promise, but as many as received him, the Lord Jesus Christ, to them gave he the right to become the children of God. A moment to remember from the Bible.
