Two greetings, friends. The Gospel by John chapter seventeen and verse eleven. Here's another great I am spoken by the Lord Jesus. And now I am. No more in the world. What a statement. For a powerful statement. I am no more in the world, but these, the believers, are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one as we are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name. Those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost. that the Son of perdition that the Scripture might be fulfilled. And now come I to thee, and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I am no more in the world. What a tremendous statement. Back in the sixteenth chapter, And verse twenty-eight he says, I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world. And I am come into the world. This is a greater journey of mercy in the universe of God. The Lord Jesus leaving the throne of the Father, the bosom of the Father, coming down into the world to be born a Savior, which is Christ the Lord, the one who came into the world to seek and to save that which was lost. He said, I am not come into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be, S-A-V-E-D, saved. Now he's journeyed in the world up and down the land, doing good on every hand, healing the sick, cleansing the leper, raising the dead, giving sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, unstopping the deaf ears, the tongues of retired, is loosening them, those that have fever, healed them, and many raised from the dead. This he did. in about three and a half years of his open ministry. He was the great benefactor of mankind while he was here in the world. He did everything to show the people, the Father, and to manifest the Father, and to show to all that God was loved, God is loved. God is light and God is love, and to show that he was the lover of mankind. And then he went to the cross at the end of that time. He loved the world that was lost. Yes, he loved all mankind. Loved him so much that he gave... himself for mankind. And now at the end he could say, I am despised. It should be said of him by Isaiah the prophet. He is despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. Instead of being loved by the bulk of humanity, he was doubted He was maligned. He was slandered. Here's the spies. It's a terrible story. It's a terrible block on the pages of human history. It's a son of God that came into the world to seek and to save. That which was lost was crucified on the cross by the creatures his own hands had made. Those who should have known him and should have received him, cried, we have no king but Caesar away with this man. We'll not have him to reign over us. They thought him to be an imposter. They treated him as an imposter. They treated him the vilest that for human beings could possibly do. Now he says, now I am no more in the world. That is, bodily, he was going to rise up into glory. He was going out to the Mount Olive, and there, a hundred and twenty or so a believer would see him, raising his hands and blessing, and departing from them, and a cloud received him out of their sight. He ascended back to heaven. The tomb is empty. The grave is empty. He was laid in the tomb, but he rose from the dead. And forty days later, he ascended back to glory. Those great truths that he personified, born of the Virgin, lived a sinless life. He died a vicarious death. He was buried bodily in a tomb, and then he rose bodily from the tomb. A triumphant resurrection, and then he ascended back to heaven. I am no longer, I am no... more in the world. And the angels said, As he ascended up to heaven, when the people were gazing up into heaven, and they were seeing him go, these two men stood by them in white apparel, which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus. The same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven. This is what the two angels, the two men in shining clothes said about him. They watched him go into heaven. They watched him go up. So that the seventh great thing about him is he's coming again. Yes, he's coming back again. And he's coming to the air. That was the last place his people saw him, and that's where they're going to see him again. He's going to come to the air, according to First Thessalonians chapter four, and with the voice of the archangel and the trump of God, and the dead in Christ, all of them, wherever they are, in the grave or out of the grave, the dead in Christ arise first, and they shall be caught up. And we which are alive and remain, shall be caught up together with them, to be the Lord in the air, in the air, and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Here is the glorious, glorious culmination of the work of Christ on earth. Today his work is being carried on by those who love him, those who have believed in him, and may there not only have been convicted of sin themselves, They've been converted to God, and now they have confessed the Savior to mankind. And this is what we're doing now in this world. Those who know them were confessing Him before our fellow men that others may turn to Him and have the same great blessings of sin forgiven, the conscious knowledge from the Word of God that they've trusted Christ. and their path from death to life, their new creatures in Christ Jesus. Oh, my friends, have you had this experience? Conversion is an experimental matter. It is a personal matter. It is only you that can pass through us. Each one must pass through us for themselves. But I am no more in the world. That is, bodily is gone. As God, His presence is manifest with us in a spiritual way. But the same Jesus, the angels, the two angels, and the shining apparel, said, This same Jesus, the man that they saw, God manifests in the flesh, as well as God himself, He's going to come. The same Jesus, the one with the nail prints in his hands and feet. And the wound's in his sight. He's coming back again. And those who are saved are going to meet him in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye. And they'll be caught up in a flash. And be there to meet the Lord. And so shall he ever be with the Lord. I am no more in the world. He went back over nineteen hundred years ago. He's coming again. President God, we thank thee for the Lord Jesus, who was here on earth, and who laid down his life for mankind on this earth, made a way of escape for everyone whosoever will. Then we thank thee, he ascended back to glory, and by and by his coming again. We pray that many souls will take advantage of thy word, the offer that's in thy word, to trust the Savior. the path from death unto life. We pray thy blessing upon our president, our country, our nation, our rulers, the governors of our state, and the mayors of our cities. We pray especially for the mayor of our nation's capital. The Lord bless for good. May his precious soul trust Christ and be saved. In his precious name we pray. Amen.
